I really like how Amaya grabs Dahlia to try and protect her
Magnifico underestimated how powerful wishes and dreams really are and how Asha's refusal to give up on a better future gave her and everyone else the strength to stand up to his rule led to his undoing. That fact as well as how many living things were said to be part of the stars helped them overturn the dark magic and regain their wishes with a newfound passion to make them reality. Of course the king still ended up getting trapped for thousands of years as punishment for trying to keep control over the kingdom that once believed in him and I doubt he'll ever be set free.

King Magnifico is a fool, he had everything but he threw it all away, thinking he can do whatever the heck he pleases and and having all the power to himself with no friends and family to share it with, or even hurt people for it, that makes people like him the one who’s nothing.
I close my eyes and I hear, not just Asha and her friends singing, but past generations that have made Disney what it is to this very day.
Thank you for making the beautiful moment about this magic time because you are a star. This was such a powerful and emotional moment. I teared up when I saw ot for the first time. I absolutely love this movie.
This scene is so underrated and I think it’s because a lot of people don’t understand it as well as they should.
They aren’t defeating Magnifico with that singing and power of friendship trope. They are making a wish not on star or Magnifico but on themselves. Cause fun fact, we are actually made of stardust. Every single living & non living thing are made from elements that came from stars. That’s why in the scene where the animals started singing and talking, when they told asha she’s a star they LITERALLY meant she’s a star.
And I think with that context it makes this scene so much more powerful, they don’t need Magnifico or wishing on a star in a sky to fulfil their hopes and dreams, cause they are stars themselves and that’s all they need 🌟
