After HAYATO TERASHIMA (寺島速人) goes on a YUKATA DATE with RIKO NAGAI (永井理子), he PRETENDS not to be interested in her. He even goes so far as to LIE to ARMAN BITARAF (ビタラフ・アルマン) and YUUKI BYRNES (バーンズ勇気) —-telling them he has no physical interest in her.

RIKO says she is having fun but that she doesn’t feel a strong connection with him yet. HAYATO goes on to say that he sees her more as a sibling and less as a woman. They both seem to agree that things aren’t moving forward ROMANTICALLY. And yet… THEY ARE BOTH LYING.

They are LYING TO THE CAMERA to cover up the fact that they have been SLEEPING TOGETHER off-screen. They have been KISSING and acting LOVEY-DOVEY when no one is watching and the cameras are off.

YUUKI BYRNES (バーンズ勇気) is aware of the deceit and he cannot stand being a part of it. So he vents to and confides in his girlfriend MISAKI TAMORI (田森美咲) and his roommate ARMAN BITARAF (ビタラフ・アルマン). Both MISAKI and ARMAN think that they need to confront the situation head-on. So they, as a group, decide to have a HOUSE MEETING with HAYATO and RIKO to discuss the deception.

This SCENE takes place several days AFTER the HOUSE MEETING. During the Meeting HAYATO attempted to wiggle his way out of the situation and ESCAPE ALL RESPONSIBILITY. The last episode ended with him CONVINCING RIKO that they shouldn’t date, and leaving the room as quickly as he could.

Upon reflection RIKO DECIDES that she wants to CONFRONT HAYATO about his COWARDICE. So she goes to his room to tell him that what he did was UNMANLY and SELFISH. She says she is willing to date him and that she doesn’t care about work getting in the way. But HAYATO REJECTS HER again.
